Jean Medecin Avenue is the main Street, from there you can catch the tramway to Old town, Congress Centre. Garibaldi Square.

Promenade des Anglais :

 

Name after the English that started coming in the 19th century to enjoy the mild climate on the Riviera during winter, along  the waterfront with its Palm trees.

Pedestrian Area & Massena Street :

 

Massena Street is the pedestrian area, very lively day time as well as night time with all the Big Brasseries, terraces and shops.

Le Château :

 

Called the Castle hill, Beautiful park where you relax and enjoy a Beautiful view of all Nice.

Old Town :

 

Old town and the famous Flower Market on every day ( Antic Market on Mondays ).

Stroll around in the narrow Streets, all types of great things to discover, Restaurants, Bars Pubs, Local Shops, and a Must for Night Life.

Cimiez Arenas :

 

Cimiez arenas, Ancient  amphitheatre with Roman ruins in a beautiful park with Olive Trees

You will find there the Matisse museum and a Monastery.

Garibaldi Square & Port :

 

Garibaldi Square, the Port, it is a growing district becoming very trendy for night life Bars and Restaurants.

Main Local Food to Try

La Socca :

local speciality made out of chickpea wheat, a little pepper taste, baked in an oven. Enjoy it with a nice Glass of cold Rosé wine or a beer.

 

Les Farcis Niçois : 

they are all sorts of stuffed vegetables such as tomatoes , onions, zucchini,  artichoke. They can be eaten hot or cold.

 

La Tourte de Blette : 

Swiss chard tart either salty or sweet.

 

La Pissaladière : 

Onion tart with olives and anchovy.

 

La célèbre Salade Niçoise : 

Famous local salad, including, boiled eggs, tomatoes, tuna, olives, anchovy, with olives oil dressing.

Nice Main Transports

La Gare SNCF :

The station is at a 10 minutes from the Hotel, from there you can easily reach all towns on the Riviera such as Cannes, Monaco (Monte Carlo), Antibes, Villefranche, Menton, Grasse and Italy.

 

Les Vélos Bleus : 

Self rent Bicycle on the Streets available 24 hours a day, as well as electrical cars.

 

La Station de Tramway : 

Tramway Station is just around the corner on Jean Medecin Avenue, it is an easy way to get to congress centers in a few minutes.

 

Les Bus Aéroport : 

Airport shuttles  Bus number 98 and 99 will make you reach Airport in 30 minutes.

Main Events in Nice

Nice Carnaval :

 

Nice Carnaval is world known, it’s the biggest one in France and goes on in Febuary for two weeks and attract 1.2 million visitors each year.

 

It’s one of the biggest event among 850 others each year in Nice.

Menton Carnaval :

 

Also at the same time in Menton during  Febuary goes on the Special Carnaval ( based on the lemon and orange fruit ).

Nice Jazz Festival :

 

Nice Jazz Festival is the first festival of Jazz created in France in 1948. It takes place every July on the Place Massena.

Cannes Film Festival :

Monaco & Monte Carlo :

 

Famous place world known for Luxury, and the Formula 1 track, easy to reach by Train or Bus number 100.

Cannes :

 

Another Beautiful Town, Famous for its Film Festival, easy to reach by train or Bus number 200.

Vence & saint Paul de Vence :

 

Beautiful Medieval Village inland with Art galleries, known for having inspired famous painters Like Matisse and Chagall.  Bus number 400 will get you there.

Eze Village :

 

One of the most beautiful Medieval village way up on a cliff  with an amazing view. Bus number 82 to reach it.

Villefranche Sur Mer :

 

Another Beautiful Village next to Nice, on the water front with its Citadelle and  port. Train or Bus number 80 will take you there.

Menton :

 

The last French city before the italian border. The old town is a place to visit with it's beautiful colours. 

Antibes :

 

Charming Town with its old part within its ramparts. Easy to reach by train or Bus number 200.

Beaulieu & Saint Jean Cap Ferrat :

 

You can visit the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and its gardens, also the Villa Kerylos. Train or bus number 81 will get you there.
